Sophie & Marcus: An Intimate Industrial Wedding

An emotional autumn celebration balancing exposed brick texture, lush botanical florals, and heartfelt candlelit toasts.

Sophie and Marcus wedding portrait

Sophie and Marcus envisioned a day that felt warm, unpretentious, and deeply personal. Beginning with morning preparations in a sunlit Shoreditch loft, the couple chose a first look before walking hand-in-hand down the botanical aisle at The Hackney.

Our brief was entirely documentary: capture the raw energy of East London, the hugs between childhood friends from opposite sides of the world, and the spontaneous laughter during the speeches.

"When we received our gallery from ANISQ, we spent three hours crying and laughing. You didn't just photograph what it looked like β€” you captured exactly what it felt like."

The Visual Highlights

As dusk fell over East London, we stepped outside onto the quiet cobbled side streets for a 15-minute sunset portrait session. The ambient warm streetlamps coupled with an ultra-fast 35mm f/1.4 lens yielded a cinematic, filmic depth.
